This was in HEAVY rotation on NYC's WKTU in 1981 and loved it. (still do)--I did not know it was a "remix" until many years later. I still prefer this 1981 version though.

The original still kills it, but this remix is as good, maybe even better thanks to that amazing rap by Dr. Perri Johnson.

The production and recording is superb, on 45 rpm the vinyl is fat, lots of bass and really punchy ! proper club tune !
I have this version a couple of CD compilations and none sound as dynamic as the vinyl. Selling off my copy reluctantly.

I guess so many DJs played this to death back in the day it would be hard to find a pristine copy, because this record just wants to be played loud!

Hi. the picture depicted is an image used during submission to discogs which was not made by me. If you look at all of this items for sale from other sellers on discogs you will see hand written on all the pictures shown on each seller. As for grading and you are obviously new to discogs, VG grading means noticable groove wear and light scratches. If there is an issue with jumping or sticking then I'm very sorry for that as I did check myself before sending and I didn't notice any issues regarding jumps. As for the sleeve, it may have unglued but there were no seam splits of any kind. Apologies for my lack of description.. I wonder if the B side is identical with the "Let`s start the dance" orig. vers. from `78?
